Our Story

Hi, It's Mario 
Growing up in Greece, I always equated good food with the rich flavors and the food culture of my homeland. Anyone that has been there, knows the scene! Kabobs (Souvlaki in Greek) and Gyros are in every corner. At the same time, my father immigrated here in the US 40 years ago, and like many immigrants, ran his own Pizza Place, mastering the craft of dough and Pizza.

After coming to the U.S when I was 18 and graduating from Brown, with a degree in Applied Mathematics, like many, I took up a corporate job in New York City, but coming from an entrepreneurial family, I felt that something was missing. I made the bold decision to leave my job and with my dad’s help, and Agamemnon, (you can call him Steve) a seasoned veteran restaurateur and Pizza maker, I decided to venture into the food business. There was no question in my mind as to where to start, the city and state that feels like ‘Home’ to me in the U.S - Providence, Rhode Island. 

This is not just another Quick Service eatery. My mission is to offer you the most authentic and best Greek food you’ve ever tasted, as well as the best pizza in Providence and other classics! At Mr Greeks we offer authentic flavors and fresh ingredients! Our venture celebrates Greek Cuisine as much as it celebrates the diverse ethnic and culinary environment of Providence.
